Shell Script Checking string is null or not

 

Here is the simple if condition to check the string is null or not:

if [ -n "$string1" ]
then
echo "The given string \"string1\" is not null"
else
echo "The given string \"string1\" is null"
fi

In above condition string1 is a string variable.
